The charity, which runs 15 care centres in the UK, has brought in four new regional PR co-ordinators. Anne Griffiths, Sara Novara, Alice Clements and Heather
Cave, based in Northampton, Leeds, Brighton and Birmingham respectively, will support the charity’s healthcare, fundraising and retail departments in the regions and will be responsible for internal and external PR.
The team will be led by Vivienne Francis, who has been promoted from PR manager to head of PR.
Dan Beety, formerly public affairs and PR manager at the charity has also been promoted, taking the title head of public affairs. He will concentrate on developing the charity’s influence among key political, health and social care audiences.
Beety will be supported by Caroline Weston, who joined the charity as PA and policy officer in June.
The public affairs department has only been running for the past two years.
Sue Ryder is currently expanding some of its care centres and opening up new ones nationwide. It is also focusing on providing more choice to its patients about where they would most like to receive treatment – in its care centres or at home.
