Huntsworth reports healthy interims

Huntsworth recorded a 16.4 per cent rise in profits in the first half of 2007, reaching £10m for the first time.

The group, which owns PR firms including Trimedia Harrison Cowley, Grayling, The Red Consultancy and Citigate Dewe Rogerson, expects continued growth despite current market turmoil.

New business wins were in-line with 2006, reaching a net total of £27.5m.

Like for like revenues, compared with the same period last year, were up 5.7 per cent in PR.

Last week Chime Communications posted an operating profit up 21.8 per cent to £7.3m for the first half of this year. The PR arm of Bell Pottinger Group reported a 13.3 per cent profit rise to £4.4m.
