PRCA snatches Ingham from CIPR

The CIPR’s assistant director general Francis Ingham is to join rival trade body the PRCA.

The move is expected to take place by the end of Nov­ember.

Ingham will replace Patrick Barrow as director general and MD. Barrow rec­ently left the PRCA to take charge of Ketchum’s UK corporate practice.

Ingham said he wanted people to recognise the contribution agencies make to British industry: ‘Some consultancies don’t understand how essential they are to business. Consultancies are the intellectual powerhouses of our industry and they need a cheerleader.’
