Wylie, who previously worked at Standard Life, will be responsible for managing MRM’s existing clients such as Zurich International Life, Openwork and Assure-web. She will also be heavily involved in the consultancy’s ongoing quest for new business.
Wylie joins MRM from Lansons Communications, where she worked with clients such as Pearl Assurance and Alliance Trust.
Previously she worked in the corporate communications team for Standard Life and was responsible for implementing the media strategy for the firm’s flotation.
Earlier this year, John Lewis signed up MRM to promote its Greenbee direct-services arm, only six months after it hired The SPA Way for its launch (PRWeek, 23 March). MRM was charged with raising awareness of the brand and its plethora of services, which include home and wedding insurance, tickets for shows and concerts, and travel bookings.
MRM was founded by Richard Wheat, who left FD to set up the company in 2003. In February, Lloyds TSB media relations manager Chris Duncan joined in a senior consultant role (PRWeek, 2 February).
