The agency will co-ordinate activity from its New York office, which opened earlier this year, and from London. There was no incumbent and no pitch for the work.

Medicsight provides the software used by clinicians to detect and analyse computerised scans of the colon and lung. ‘The software helps clinicians and radiologists to detect small lesions,’ said Resolute joint CEO Anna Korving. ‘The earlier you can diagnose colon and lung cancer, the earlier you can begin treatment and the better the outcome.’

Resolute’s programme takes in medical comms as well as PR work. It will train international spokespeople for the company, work on introductions to advocacy groups and handle activity for Medicsight around global congresses on lung and colon cancer, including the International Symposium on Virtual Colonoscopy in Boston and the Radiological Society of North America’s Chicago meeting.

It is the first global client to be shared between Resolute’s two offices.

Agency joint CEO Paul Blackburn and account director Kirsty Mearns will lead the UK business.
