B-M promotion prompts revamp

BRUSSELS: Burson-Marsteller has reshaped its EU lobbying arm following the recent promotion of Brussels office supremo Jeremy Galbraith.

The agency has promoted Robert Mack, director at the Brussels office, to the role of Brussels CEO.

It has also appointed former Dutch Socialist MP Michiel van Hulten to take over from Mack. Van Hulten, who was an MEP from 1999 to 2004, will join the agency on 1 October in the role of managing director.

The reshuffle has been prompted by the promotion of Galbraith to become the Europe president and CEO, taking over from Heidi Sinclair (PRWeek, 22 June).

Separately... industry veteran and founder of Ergo Communications Jeremy Kane is setting up a Brussels-focused public affairs consultancy called Landmark Europe.

Kane is teaming up with Rocco Renaldi, former head of the food and consumer practice at Hill & Knowlton Brussels.
