Underwriter asks Golin Harris for strategic advice

Aon Corporation, the world's largest reinsurance firm, has hired Golin Harris as its first global PR agency.

Aon has briefed Golin Harris to build its brand and cement its corporate reputation, as well as offering strategic counsel. Also, Golin Harris’ employee comms consultancy Insidedge will work on internal comms for the underwriting specialist.

The agency’s Chicago office will lead on the international account, with support from its offices in London, the UK, the Netherlands and Australia.

Financial Dynamics will continue to work on Aon Consulting’s UK business. The business was won after a competitive pitch.

Aon employs 43,000 people in 500 offices worldwide, with bases in 120 countries. The Chicago-headquartered company tragically hit the headlines after September 11, 2001 when hundreds of its employees were killed in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks while working in the south tower.

This month, readers of industry magazine Business Insurance named Aon as best insurance broker for the second consecutive year.
