Harvard scoops £500k Cisco brief

Harvard has won a pan-European brief with hardware giant Cisco in what is believed to be the most ­lucrative tech account switch so far this year.

The tech specialist agency beat Metia, Hotwire and Grant Butler Coomber for the business, reportedly worth upwards of £500,000.

Incumbent firm Band & Brown did not repitch as Cisco head of European PR David Cook decided the company ‘needed an agency with a fresh approach’.

Harvard’s brief includes content creation, event ­planning, media relations and liaising with agencies in 21 countries including France, Iceland and Israel.

Around 80 per cent of the work will be B2B, although Harvard MD Chris Cartwright has said he intends to ‘get Cisco on the con-sumer radar’.
