Say wins Netrank launch campaign

Search engine optimisation company Netrank has hired London-based Say Communications for its UK launch.

Netrank, which bills itself as a ‘natural search engine marketing and online brand reputation specialist’, has briefed Say to ‘carve out a niche’ for the company in an increasingly saturated market.

Say won the £50,000 ­acc­ount following a three-way pitch against Fleishman-Hillard and Propeller.

The SEO industry has faced criticism in the media over the last few years for the practices of ‘Googlebombing’ and ‘spamdexing’; deliberately modifying HTML pages to increase the chance of their being placed close to the beginning of search engine results.

Netrank MD Lucy Allen said that Say beat out the other two agencies for this account due to their understanding of such problems.
