Hit or miss ... Mad world

A negative review of a sustainability initiative in the Daily Mail is par for the course. However, even The Guardian was nonplussed by Al Gore's seven-continent, 24-hour Live Earth gig, and not just because of its 'middle of the road' line-up. Reporter Oliver Burkeman expressed 'suspicion that Live Earth's message wasn't getting through - except to themselves'. It seems agencies Freud and LD Communications made a far smaller impression on the media than the concert's carbon footprint made on the planet.
