The bank wants the agency to target first-time buyers struggling to get onto the UK property ladder, retirees and buy-to-let investors.
The agency will focus on the options available to these people in markets such as Spain, France, Italy and Portugal. Later in the year, the agency will promote the bank’s services in Dubai and South Africa. It will look to gain coverage in the lifestyle and consumer media.
Fishburn Hedges, 77PR’s mother agency, is retained for Barclays’ business banking and local business banking and will help out on the account.
