Threepipe to promote Persil Service laundry arm

Persil Service, a UK chain of drycleaning and laundry outĀ­lets, has brought in Threepipe ComĀ­munications as its first agency.

The agency will target ‘empty nesters' and affluent house-proud people using consumer and lifestyle press. In particular, it highlights the company's shirts' wash-and-iron service, as well as bed linen and duvet cleaning.

Since its formation in 2002 by the venture capital arm of Persil brand owner Unilever, Persil Service has grown to 76 outlets. Most of these are located within Sainsbury's stores and all are outside of the M25.

Eight more store openings are planned over the next few months and Threepipe has been charged with increasing awareness of the firm's new outlets.

‘We'll also target time-poor consumers and will differentiate the Persil Service offering from other high street multiples and independent stores,' said Threepipe founder Jim Hawker.
