Letter - Why Current TV still has a long way to go

I think it's fantastic that TV is finally picking up on the new media trend and embracing it through Current TV ('How to get airtime on Current TV', 23 March). The channel is a great gateway for PR professionals to reach young people and really get the chance to interact.

But how many young people actually know about the channel already? It may have generated headlines since launching a few weeks ago but are the young people who would be interested in Current TV really the same audience that read the newspapers? A brilliant idea, but I think Al Gore and his team still have a long way to go in 'democratising television'.
