Intellect turn to Bite for speaker opportunity brief

The trade association for the UK hi-tech industry has brought in Bite Communications for a 'speaker opportunity' brief.

Intellect, which is five years old, wants to increase the exposure of its director general John Higgins.

Traditionally Intellect has held its PR function in-house, but looked for agency support for this specific brief.

‘We'll be providing and supporting speaker opportunities and events until the end of the year,' said Bite associate director Eileen Boydell - and account head, reporting to Intellect head of PR Deborah Nazareth.

John Higgins has worked in IT since 1975 becoming director general of CSSA, a predecessor of Intellect's, in April 1998. He was awarded a CBE in 2005.

Intellect acts for around 800 organisations of varied size including BAE Systems, IBM, Intel, LogicaCMG and Microsoft.
