PUBLIC AFFAIRS Channel 4 has named Euro RSCG Apex Communi­cations as its retained public affairs agency. The hire comes a week after the chan­nel hired fellow Euro RSCG agency Maitland for corporate comms (21 February). See Crisis feature.

AGENCY Weber Shandwick UK head of crisis and issues management is to join Bell Pottinger in a similar role. Alex Woolfall, who worked for Enron in 2000, joins BP at the end of April.

CONSUMER Intelligent PR is to handle the UK media relations for gastropub group Geronimo Inns. The agency will support Geronimo's three-year expansion plans, branding and direct marketing.

CONSUMER Former Grocer features editor Lisa Moore has joined Cirkle as editorial director. Moore also edited The Grocer's monthly sister title Multiple Buyer & Retailer for four years.

CLARIFICATION PRWeek, 14 March described Simon Cohen as the MD of the Gallup Organisation. He is, of course, the MD of agency Global Tolerance, which is working for Gallup.

PUBLISHING BREAK PRWeek is to miss an issue over Easter. The next edition will be out on 12 April.
