Cornwall reduces agency support

Inward investment agency Cornwall Enterprise is slimming down its PR support as part of a wider drive to curb spending.


The PR contract currently up for grabs includes inward investment and branding, but the consumer tourism brief has been axed.

‘We are going to buy a ­media database and handle tourism in-house because our budget has been cut,' a spokeswoman told PRWeek.

Incumbent Bray Leino is to re-pitch for the brief. The contract was last reviewed a year ago (PRWeek, 27 January 2006)

The strategy under­pinning the consumer brief is to promote Cornwall as an all-year destination with particular emphasis on spring and autumn.
