Redstone hires Chameleon to unify brand image

IT and telecoms company Redstone has handed ChameĀleon PR a six-figure UK account.

The review has seen Redstone's PR consolidated into one UK agency for the first time. Five other agencies - Lewis, Brands2Life, Hotwire, Weber Shandwick and the two incumbents - were in the running for the work. Previously the company's PR had been jointly managed by tech and analyst specialists Insight PR and Liberty Communications.

The account is headed by Chameleon Manchester director Rob Skinner, who reports to Redstone head of marketing Nikki Ratcliffe.

‘One of the main benefits of Redstone is that it provides organisations with all of their IT and telecoms requirements under one roof,' said Skinner. He added that Redstone's decision to consolidate PR activity would ‘enable the company to benefit from consistent, on-message media communication'.

Skinner will take responsibility for Redstone Con division - with a team of four working across all areas of Redstone's business.

Ratcliffe said the hire of Chameleon was aimed at promoting a ‘unified brand nationally' across the ‘wide range of sectors' in which the business operates.
