Media chief Nissé to exit Barclays

The director of media relations at Barclays Group has taken redundancy after just a year in the job.

Jason Nissé leaves in April, and currently has no job to go to.

Barclays corporate affairs director Stephen Whitehead said: ‘We have devolved more of the comms function into the individual businesses and taken out a layer of management.'

Two promoted staff will handle Nissé's responsibilities. Sara Moorhead, previously comms director of Barclays' UK banking operation, has become corporate affairs director of the Global Retail and Commercial Banking division.

Head of corporate media relations Alistair Smith has been made head of media relations.
