Seventy Seven lures Twigg to director position

Former Nexus Communications creative director Alan Twigg has been snapped up by Seventy Seven PR for a newly created director role.

Reporting to MD Guy Corbett, Twigg will work on current clients such as the agency's high-profile eBay account (PRWeek, 6 August 2004). His role will also involve new-business responsibilities.

‘Alan has been brought in as part of the senior management team,' said Seventy Seven chairman Marc Moninski. ‘He has great experience in a number of sectors and it's brilliant to have him on board.'

Twigg spent three and a half years at Nexus before quitting at the beginning of the year (PRWeek, 12 Jan).

He worked exclusively on the food and drink markets during his time at the agency, and said he was looking forward to diversifying.

‘Working in a specific arena is great, but it sometimes lacks variety,‘ he said. ‘I had ten years of working on all sorts of industries before I joined Nexus and that is what I enjoy.'

Twigg joined Seventy Seven, the consumer PR subsidiary of Fishburn Hedges, this week.

Before joining Nexus (PRWeek, 7 Feb 2003), he spent 12 years at Harrison Cowley. He began his HC career in its Scotland office before taking control of the agency's 25-strong consumer team in London.

Twigg‘s position at Nexus has not yet been filled. Chairman Jonathan Choat and other board directors have since absorbed his former responsibilities.
