Impact secures green power job

A firm developing technology for the advancement of alternative energy has taken on its first PR agency.

ITM Power has signed up Impact Press & Public Relations after a competitive pitch. The 18-strong Midlands-based agency saw off two London-based consultancies to win the account.

Impact MD Eric Lafone said: ‘It's fantastic to be working with a client in the most topical end of the market, and we are intrigued by the solutions it has found to the problems of CO2 emissions and the use of fossil fuels.'

He revealed there were likely to be announcements around hydrogen power. ‘Hydrogen power has no harmful bi-products, only water vapour,' he said.

Lafone added that the agency would target a broad range of press, from national news media to scientific journals and trade titles.
