Walker becomes Hogarth director

Julian Walker, the Gainsborough founder who rejected a move to College Hill, has joined Hogarth.

Walker, who co-founded the now-defunct Gainsborough with Andy Cornelius and Duncan Murray, becomes a Hogarth director.

‘Hogarth is now what Gainsborough could have grown into,' said Walker. ‘There are no stars on the staff and there is a team ethic, which is what we were trying to build.'

Hogarth contains ex-Shandwick staffers who worked with Walker when he was also at the agency. He rejected a number of other offers in the buoyant City comms recruitment market.

Cornelius and Murray started work at College Hill this month (PRWeek, 2 February).
