Liverpool buyers used FD for deal

Liverpool FC's new American owners used Financial Dynamics to secure their £220m takeover this week.

FD has been in contact with the five-time European champions since before Christmas, working with investment bank Rothschild, which advised US tycoon George Gillett’s initial bid for the club.

FD then advised the joint – and eventually successful – bid of Gillett and Tom Hicks, approved on Tuesday.

Brunswick advised initial takeover frontrunner Dubai International Capital (PRWeek, 8 Dec 2006).

ALSO... FD is also advising Ford on its proposed sale of its Aston Martin brand.

The brand, which is thought to be worth around £450m, is attracting a number of potential suitors, including interest from the private-equity sector.
