GCI London nabs APCO's Cusworth

GCI London has recruited Daniel Cusworth as it begins to rebuild its presence in the UK healthcare arena.

Cusworth joins as an account manager after two years at APCO, where he worked as an associate in a PR and public affairs capacity for clients including Novartis and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

He was formerly at the BioIndustry Association, after graduating in biomedical sciences and pharmacology. At GCI he will work for clients including Cephalon, Merck and Alliance Boots (on a corporate/health remit).

London chief executive Mark Cater – who joined GCI last year after spending just three months at APCO (PRWeek, 21 July 2006) – said GCI’s efforts to recruit a UK health head remained ongoing.

Rebuilding GCI London’s healthcare presence is a priority for Cater, who is an ex-Ketchum global healthcare chief.
