Michael Smeeth takes Quintus Public Affairs role

Quintus Public Affairs has hired Michael Smeeth as an associate director.

Smeeth - who has previously worked for Good Relations and Fleishman-Hillard UK - joins on 2 January 2007 to run the agency's leisure division as well as developing its healthcare practice.

Smeeth left F-H's UK health arm after just six months in autumn 2005 (PRWeek, 14 October 2005). In May he launched his own agency - iCommunicate Consulting - working for Barnet & Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust (PRWeek, 5 May 2006).

Smeeth said some undisclosed iCommunicate clients would now be migrating to Quintus.
Prior to F-H Smeeth was MD of Good Relations Healthcare. Before that he was Brent Primary Care NHS Trust comms director.

Smeeth's arrival at Quintus takes the agency to 18 staff. In October it hired Charlie Napier from PPS to an associate director role (PRWeek, 20 Oct 2006).
