My Best Hire

Louise Drabwell, MD of Rare Communications, on the 'vivacious' Lynne-Mei Lee.

'In 2001 I was head of PR for Fox Kids Europe and looking for press officers. Lynne-Mei bypassed the recruitment agency and came to me directly.

'She was doing corporate PR and wanted to move, and her ability to seize the initiative impressed me. She has a natural flair for PR and is very personable, and her corporate background meant she could deal with CEOs just as easily as broadcasters and producers.

'I remember one particularly challenging kids' football event in Barcelona. Thanks to her we still managed to have fun and keep our sanity.

'By the time she left Fox she had been promoted to corporate communications co-ordinator.'

Lynne-Mei Lee is now head of publicity at Fremantle Media Enterprises.
