My Best Hire - Stephanie MacLeod

David Cook, Cisco head of PR, European markets, on the 'edgy' Stephanie MacLeod.

'Steph joined Stewart-Muir Communications as an account manager back in 1996 when we were a start-up agency. She had an edge that made her stand out - not afraid to front up to clients (or journalists for that matter) - and her media relations skills were second to none.

'Her extra-curricular activities were legendary and her great commitment to the 'life' part of the work/life balance was witnessed by most bars in London and a select few in Europe.

'Steph was always highly rated (and liked) by clients, and she had made it to account director by the time she left in 1999.

'She's since moved on to bigger and better things and is now working for clients - including Cisco - at Bite.'

Stephanie MacLeod is a director at Bite Communications
