Tjugum takes WS UK deputy health MD role

Weber Shandwick has promoted director Brian Tjugum to deputy MD of its UK health practice.

Tjugum joined 12 months ago from Ogilvy PR Worldwide and takes a position most recently occupied by Lucie Harper, who was promoted to UK health MD this spring (PRWeek, 24 March).

Clients that Tjugum, a US national, advises include Lilly/Boehringer Ingelheim (global brief for anti-depressant Cymbalta), Otsuka (European corporate) and Spanish drugs firm Almirall (European campaigns).

WS has also hired two associate directors: Melissa Millard, formerly of Shire Health London, and Lisa Farrugia, formerly at GlaxoSmithKline, latterly as international comms manager.

Other senior WS health staff include directors Sam Barnes, Sally Evans and Antoinette Dale-Henderson (on maternity leave), plus associate director Nicci Parry.

The appointments follow the resignations of European health MD Fiona Hall and strategic development director Neil McGregor-Paterson, both to join Chandler Chicco Agency (PRWeek, 21 July).
