Agency separates clowns from clients

Cirencester-based Lawson-Clarke PR's birthday celebrations last week turned into a bit of a circus, we hear.

The 25-year-old agency invited clients, staff and journos to a Big Top themed bash with tables named after circus performers - jugglers, magicians, contortionists, and so on.

But founder and MD Jeremy Clarke admits that despite the jollity, it was initially a bit of a diplomatic headache.

'It took some tact to work it out. I finally opted to go as a lion tamer rather than a ringmaster - and we had to make sure no clients were seated at the "clown" table,' he reveals.

Sensible, Jeremy, very sensible.
