FSA lures journo for corporate role

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has poached Insurance Times news editor Michael Faulkner for a role in its corporate comms ­department.

Faulkner joins as PR officer at the FSA's City team, covering insurance and banking. He has worked for Insurance Times for four years and before that was a lawyer.

Faulkner replaces Joseph Eyre who was promoted earlier this year to the role of PR manager - insurance, banking, international matters.

Eyre replaced Kate Burns, who left for a supervisory role at its retail division.

In June the FSA's head of media and web comms, Rob McIvor, left to join Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking (PRWeek, 9 June).
