Taylor Herring on Disney film brief

Walt Disney Pictures is using Taylor Herring to promote High School Musical, its forthcoming film for TV.

The film - a hit in the US -will be previewed on Sunday at The Empire in London's Leicester Square.

It will then launch on the Disney Channel on 22 September, before being screened as part of the BBC's Christmas schedule.

The film targets the ‘tween' audience, specifically nine to 12-year-olds, said Disney TV EMEA vice-president, comms, Siobhan Kenny.

‘The show has been licensed for local student theatre groups to use in America, and there is a possibility this will happen in the UK, too,' she added.
