My Best Hire - Jo Carr

Trevor Morris, visiting professor of public relations at Westminster University, on the 'dynamic' Jo Carr.

'Jo joined QBO as a campaign manager in 1996, primarily to work on the agency's Norwich Union account.

'She was filling the redoubtable shoes of Sally Costerton - now UK chief executive of Hill & Knowlton - and had as her client the very experienced Anne Groves, who is now head of communications at legal firm Clifford Chance.

'It was a very tall order, but Jo delivered to a high standard. Hugely likeable, personally modest, yet driven to ensure that every campaign is a success, she went on to become deputy managing director at QBO Bell Pottinger (now Bell Pottinger Group) in 2003, before leaving in 2004 to have her first child and live in Budapest.

'Her recent return to the UK has seen her get straight back into the swing of things, and she was last seen delivering some great campaign work for pseudo- Aussie car insurance brand Sheilas' Wheels.'

Jo Carr is now head of the recently launched PR wing at integrated financial services specialist Teamspirit.
