Ladies' golf tour in fightback bid

Golf's Ladies' European Tour has brought in Bell Pottinger Sport & Sponsorship to stress the quality of the women's game in Europe and help attract more sponsors.

B-P, the circuit's first agency, was appointed by executive director Alex Armas, who joined last year as the tour's third such hire in a year.

The agency will promote the virtues of the women's tour, despite top players such as Michelle Wie and Annika Sorenstam now entering men's events.
