At a glance: Bausch & Lomb eye-care campaign

Eye-care company Bausch & Lomb (B&L) has brought in Just to handle a brace of UK media relations campaigns for its surgical business.

The agency's brief is to encourage people who wear glasses or contact lenses to have laser eye surgery. The agency's second campaign, which will run concurrently, will seek to ‘educate' people over the age of 60 about the risk of cataracts, advising early diagnosis and treatment.

B&L made headlines two months ago as it carried out a worldwide recall of one of its contact-lens cleaning products – MoistureLoc – after it was linked to a dangerous eye fungus.

Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster advised B&L on comms surrounding the product's withdrawal and continues to work with B&L on various comms briefs.

l Just has recruited Hayley Wood as a senior consultant. She joins from an account director role at Red Door Communications.

Wood worked with Just co-founder Emma Crozier at Cohn & Wolfe. She has also worked at Grayling and Munro & Forster.
