Luchford secures London wine expo

A new trade event for wine buyers, Wine+, is to be promoted by Luchford APM.

Organiser Fresh RM is targeting the show – at London’s Olympia from 17-18 January next year – at sommeliers and restaurant owners. ‘This will have more of a lifestyle focus than a standard trade exhibition,’ said agency senior account manager Kate Fairclough.

The event’s timing is designed to appeal to sommeliers deciding on wine lists for the year ahead, she added.

Wine+ was conceived by Andrew Evans, former show director of London International Wine & Spirit Fair. Fresh RM, a joint venture between Reed Exhibitions and Montgomery Exhibitions, hired Luchford after a three-way pitch.
