Regen body brings in first agency

Urban regeneration and ‘sustainable communities’ champion Presentation has taken on agency support for the first time, as it seeks to raise its profile among businesses and local authorities.

The body wants to ensure it is in the running to secure major regeneration projects across the South-East.
West London-based TK Associates will be advising Presentation on media relations and stakeholder engagement. It will target  construction, architecture, regeneration and local government press, and build relationships with local authorities and organisations.

Presentation wants to show that its work goes beyond housing provision, and includes community regeneration and social support.

The group began as a housing association in 1968  and is funded through rental income and the Housing Corporation. It has responsibility for 6,000 homes in the South-East.

Presentation’s flagship academic and housing project, Paragon, will be a focus of the campaign. The £100m project – set to complete in 2007 in Brentford, west London – is being created in partnership with Thames Valley University and developer Berkeley First.

Paragon will provide 849 student apartments and 221 key-worker homes, alongside a large academic building that will be used as Thames Valley University’s Healthcare and Human Science faculty.

TK won the account after a four-way pitch.
