Paragon shakes up tech account

Paragon Software Systems has split with its agency of ten years as it attempts to lure more clients to its routing and scheduling technology.

According to long-term incumbent Peter Acton Associates, the parting was 'amicable'.

Paragon has taken on The Whiteoaks Consultancy to target the home delivery sector with its software, which allows companies to plan routes and track vehicles.

The agency beat off Bristol-based JBP for the account in a pitch that did not include the incumbent.

Whiteoaks MD James Kelliher said the agency will concentrate on demonstrating how Paragon products deliver tangible business benefits for customers.

The agency will target IT, national and business press, as well as titles in vertical sectors including transport and logistics, retail and
manufacturing.

Part of the agency's undisclosed fee is dependent on the delivery of results.
