Lewis exits BPPA for position at FH

Fishburn Hedges has nabbed Bell Pottinger Public Affairs account director Rupert Lewis to join as a consultant on the back of significant recent PA wins.

Lewis, a former researcher for the Conservatives' current policy chief Oliver Letwin, joins FH next week as a consultant. PA practice MD Graham McMillan said his appointment indicated the agency's 'need for top-quality consultants' resulting from major wins such as insurance group Aviva and Digital UK.

Lewis joined BPPA in 2003, where he worked for clients in sectors including tobacco, gambling, e-commerce, transport and planning. He was also involved in crisis comms assisting foreign governments with the UK government and media.

Prior to BPPA, Lewis worked as a parliamentary researcher to Letwin, then shadow home secretary. He also assisted the leader of
the Conservative home affairs team in the House of Lords, Baroness Anelay of St John's, as well as former environment minister Sir Paul Beresford.
