Sparx promotes costing software

Maconomy, a costing software vendor, has appointed Sparx Communications to target consultancy clients.

Its products allow companies to automate functions such as billing, credit control and timesheets. They are aimed at two groups: consultants, including those in the engineering, IT, environmental and management sectors; and the marcoms industry (PR, advertising and marketing companies).

Windsor-based Octopus Communications, whose account director is Cherry Giles, has run PR for both markets for two years. It now just handles marcoms.

Sparx was invited by Maconomy business development director Marcus Leathwood to take on the six-month account. Its work will revolve around establishing Maconomy as a leader in the field, and moving it into other consultancy client areas, such as law.

Sparx account director Catherine Eyres reports to Leathwood.
