The six-year-old project – run by clothes brand Diesel – has previously operated in the UK, US, Italy, Japan and Switzerland. This is the first year that the countries will compete against each other. An international awards show is set for October.
The website for applications – www.diesel-u-music.com – will be operational from 1 May.
Interactive and web consultancy Design UK has been retained to advise on internet PR and to create a page on web forum MySpace. LD beat three agencies for its account, including the incumbent, Espionage.
