Trainer Mosaic to teach podcasting

Media training agency Mosaic Publicity is offering a course that teaches businesses the technological and presentation skills they need to produce their own podcasts.

The course, which is being run by Mosaic directors and ex-BBC broadcasters Karen Ainley and Kevin Bentley, will also question what podcasting can do for businesses.

'Podcasting is very new, so people want to know how it can benefit them. There is little information on whether podcasting can make money, and if the time invested will be well spent,' said Ainley.

It has identified what it calls the 'Five Ps to the Perfect Podcast': preparation, performance, post-production, posting a podcast and promotion.

Topics include the use of sound effects, the editing of tracks, and the promotion of podcasts through traditional PR as well as placement on podcast directories such as itunes.com.
