Monster has local language and content sites in 24 countries, but until now has only used PR support in the US, Canada and the UK, retaining WS since 1999. Four agencies pitched for the global account. WS will now run pan-EMEA activity from its London office; Germany, France and the Netherlands will be covered by local WS offices.
Monster Worldwide global brand manager David Rosa said: 'We were looking for an agency that could speak with one voice throughout the world, to ensure that whenever people think of work they think of Monster.
'We must ensure that we are differentiated from other job sites and seen as a career resource and the leading voice in employment.'
One tactic is promotion of the Monster Employment Index to business journalists, which monitors online job-seeking trends.
