Infineon appoints Westermann’s successor

Thomas Weber has been appointed to manage worldwide corporate communications for semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies AG in Munich.

His new role as corporate vice president will begin from the middle of April and the 46-year-old will report directly to board chairman Wolfgang Ziebart.

Weber was formerly the press director at Siemens AG and deputy head of corporate communications until April last year. Most recently, he was responsible for the communications department of the Siemens Power Generation division.

At Infineon, he succeeds Rainer Westermann, who left the company in February.
