Bowel Cancer UK in e-clock stunt

Bowel Cancer UK has put a ‘Clock of Shame’ on its website in a bid to up the pressure on the Government to honour its pledge for a national screening programme for the disease.

The clock – at – started on 1 April. It shows how many people the charity believes to have died as a result of delays to the programme (PRWeek, 31 March).

Bowel Cancer UK director of press, PR and PA Ian Beaumont said: 'Every eight hours someone will die unnecessarily from this disease.'
