Margarine body in health cred drive

The Margarine and Spreads Association (MSA) has taken on its first PR agency for a campaign to boost sales among increasingly health-conscious consumers.

The MSA, run from the Food and Drink Federation, has hired Nexus Communications after a three-way pitch to handle consumer and trade relations.

The sector is responding to the recent resurgence from butter brands, which have spent recent years heavily promoting their 'naturalness'.

Nexus said it would aim to 're-establish the importance of natural oils and fats in a healthy diet'.
