Ferrovial seeks advice from CDR

Madrid: Citigate Dewe Rogerson has been handling the PR surrounding Spanish infrastructure group Ferrovial’s offer for UK airport operator BAA, it emerged this week.

Ferrovial said it had engaged CDR at the end of last year.

However, it insisted that the firm was being used as a 'strategic communications adviser' because of the company's existing expansion in the UK and not in anticipation of its bid this month for BAA.

CDR director Ginny Pulbrook is leading the Ferrovial account.
BAA has recently drafted in Brunswick founder Alan Parker to prepare its defence of a Ferrovial offer (PRWeek, 17 February).

Ferrovial already controls Bristol and Belfast's airports.
