Slacks are back

Farah, the iconic 1970s trouser brand, has taken on PR support for the first time.

It wants to capitalise on the recent spate of British indie bands – such as Franz Ferdinand (pictured) and Kaiser Chiefs – that are sporting its style.Quay West Communications will be drumming up publicity ahead of the launch of two new ranges – one for golfers, and another 'vintage' range – in the autumn. Farah, which is owned by US clothing company Perry Ellis, will aim to gain coverage in music magazines, targeting young men who grew up wearing Farah at school. It will also target its traditional, more mature audience through regional press promotions.
