IFS eyes 'school of finance' label

The Institute of Financial Services has drafted in Lansons’ public affairs practice to boost take up of its courses. It wants to position itself as ‘the school of finance’ among policy makers.

The IFS currently runs A-level equivalents in over 100 schools in the UK. 'We are determined to bring the issue of poor financial capability to the top of the political and media agenda', said IFS head of marketing and PR Simon Ashmore.

Lansons head of public affairs Dirk Paterson commented: 'Consumers need to understand a range of financial products in order to make informed choices'.
