Reckitt to review after Boots buy

Reckitt Benckiser is to review the PR behind brands including Nurofen, Strepsils and Clearasil, the OTC products it gained last week via its acquisition of Boots Healthcare International.

Reckitt head of corporate communications Fiona Fong told PRWeek: 'We will be reviewing in due course. But the deal has only just completed and the priority is the integration.'

Fong, who joined the pharma firm last October, would not comment further.

The acquired brands also include Optrex and E45.

Hill & Knowlton has handled the brands for around six years. Agency director Fiona Rollo said: 'Over the past few months the agency team has been developing PR brand plans that will be implemented in 2006.'
