AS Biss reshuffles for expansion bid

AS Biss & Co has promoted Sacha Desmukh and Gavin Devine to the roles of MD and deputy MD respectively as it bids to expand its business beyond PA.

The moves are intended to allow founder Adele Biss, who continues as executive chair, to pursue expansion into the financial and healthcare PR sectors. The agency last autumn became part of marcoms group Engine, which also now owns advertising agency WCRS.

Desmukh joined shortly after AS Biss's inception in 1997 as a graduate trainee. Devine arrived in 2004, having been a clerk on the Defra and Department for  Transport select committees.

The 25-strong firm pulled in around £3m in fee income in 2005.
