Morison was at Mainland for just over a year, having spent the previous five years at Money Marketing, latterly as features editor. At Mainland she worked for insurer Royal London.
Apart from Mainland founder Neil Mainland, the only other shareholder in the agency is its associate director, Kat Milne. But Mainland has already moved to plug the gap left by Morison's exit by hiring Spada senior consultant Matthew Jervois, who joins later this month.
Jervois joined Spada just less than a year ago from the then Grandfield as a director. He was quickly promoted to the role of senior consultant. Spada managing director Gavin Ingham Brooke confirmed Jervois's resignation, saying he would leave the organisation on 16 February.
He added that plans to 'get more of the private equity market' had not worked out as planned and that Spada would be focusing more of its efforts on winning clients in the private wealth management sector.
